La Lavandou takes its name from the lavender plant that grows in the Provencal countryside. It’s a beautiful place filled with plants and flowers, located on a hill above the main town. You can also visit the Presqu’ile de Giens and the very charming Îles d’Hyères to the west of Hyères, one of our favorite towns along the southern coast of Provence.

Le Lavandou Beach Resort
This wide sandy beach is a well-known resort that has three busy yacht marinas. In the summer months, the town turns into quite a lively one with glitzy lights for those who want to enjoy the nightlife. Also available are boat trips that will take you to Fort de Bregançon in Bormes (summer residence of the President of the Republic) or to Saint Tropez along the Var coastline. You can enjoy a vast beach with sand, a small cove that is intact in this wild beach. There is a very extensive port in Le Lavandou to the east of the beach. Here you will get the pleasure of riding in traditional fishing boats and other small boats. Throughout the old town and along the seafront are numerous restaurants and cafes.
